Road Rally Rules

1. Rally results will be posted on the Internet at www.lknroadrally.com following the completion of the rally.
   
   
   
2. Course papers must be turned in immediately after the completion of the course. Cut off time for submission of course papers is two hours after your official start time. Course papers received after the two hour limit will not be scored and will not qualify for prizes and awards.
   
   
   
3. Follow the course as directed in the navigational guide. Complete the course clues along the way. You will remain on main streets for the majority of the course.
   
   
   
4. Clues are often indirect hints. For example, "Quiet Talking Trees" could be "Whispering Oaks".
   
   
   
5. Questions will lead you through the course and appear in order along the way.
   
   
   
6. THIS IS NOT A RACE. Obey all traffic laws at all times. Travel at the speed indicated in the navigational guide provided to you at the start of the rally. Your goal is to complete the course in an established time based upon the navigational guide and speed indicated.
   
   
   
7. The road rally will be scored on time to complete, mileage to complete and question accuracy. The decision of the Rotary judges is final.
   
   
   
8. Scoring
• Entry with the highest number of points wins the rally.
• Points will be deducted for the number of minutes you complete the course earlier or later than the ideal officially established time for the rally.
• Points will be added for the number of clues answered correctly.
• Points will be deducted for the number of miles above or below the ideal official number of miles to complete the course.
  
  
  
9. Directions may not be given at every intersection. If no clue is given, continue in your current direction of travel.
   
   
   
10. The entire LKN Road Rally Course lies in the Mooresville/South Iredell /Lake Norman area.
